NJ Point Schedule

The State of New Jersey assesses points against your license for each motor vehicle violation. These points can affect insurance rates and, if you accumulate between 12 to 15 points within 2 years, can result in the suspension of your license. Additionally, receiving 6 or more points in 3 years will result in a $150 surcharge (plus $25 for each point) in addition to the fines assessed for each violation. After driving for one year without any violations, 3 points are removed from your license.
